It brought a different set of skills to games that required more then a small handheld joystick. It is light, but doesn't mean it isn't quality. but the product remained in perfect condition. The case did arrive slightly damaged, the inside plastic was torn. This controller was bought for the intent to enhance the Switch Experience, and to add some more skill to certain games. Make sure you put your switch to sleep each time so it doesn’t die quick.Įnhances Game Play and Fits Perfectly in Hands that said, since I bought the controller primarily for AC, the Nyko is working fine for my purposes (and was available for 2 day shipping at the time I ordered it, while the HORI was going to take a couple weeks).Great controller! Custom mapping buttons easy to set up. If I had to do it again, I might get the HORI wired controller, which seems very VERY similar to the Nyko I bought (including the pros and cons), but I'm guessing is a much higher build quality. Cons: It is wired (though it has a 10 foot cable) which means it generally requires the switch to be in the dock (though you can get a USB C to USB adapter and that should work, I've seen people successfully do that for other wired controllers), no rumble, no gyro.Pros: Doesn't go into sleep mode to save power since it's wired, no input lag (including in "turbo when button pressed" mode, it seems to wait until you press the button to "start counting" so I haven't noticed any impact to the normal operation of the button while in turbo mode.this means that if I have turbo turned on, it sometimes takes a moment after pushing the button before the next "cycle" starts, which basically makes it useless for things like fishing/bugs and painful but usable for most other activities (worth noting this this only applies when the "turbo while holding button" feature is applied to a button, during normal use it's not as noticable (though still some input lag which I think is somewhat common for a wireless 3rd party controller) Cons: Has a "powersaving feature" of going to sleep after 5 minutes, I feel like the "turbo" feature is running on a set interval whether you're pushing it or not.Pros: Has rumble and gyro, is wireless (so works without docking switch).Just in case anyone else finds this via search, I've ordered two separate ones, the thing I was after was an "autofire" turbo mode, where you could make the controller press a button repeatedly without requiring you to hold it down.
